Today I hooked up with Jack (cybersage) for a hunt at a small farm town, park. After searching for a while and striking out, only finding some clad we moved to a football field where we both started hitting quarters, and I found a gold ring right under the goal posts ,score!!!

it was marked 14k on the inside of the ring with if I counted right, 10 diamonds on the side, 4 regular cut diamonds and 6 oblong shaped ones and 1 big one in the middle,

I ended with a little over $4.00 in clad and one nice ring if the stones are real, Man I love this hobby , I will be making sure the stones are real then have the ring restored by a gold smith and then appraised if real. The v3i rocks again harvesting small farm town gold!!!.

What VDI did that ring register? Was it deep at all, say beyond 3? Did you look at the polar chart before digging? I've about given up on non-coin treasure with my V3i, so I'm looking for a reason to look for jewelry again. martin

hi Martin im not quite sure what the vdi number was, it was quite some time ago and my memory is not as good lately, but here goes from what I remember it was right at the 3 mark, no I didn't use the polar plot this time, it was in a area where you wouldn't expect to find much foil or trash so when I heard the gold sounding tone and it was a solid repeating sound so I decided to dig, don't give up on the jewelry because it will pay off in the long run, I've found 5 gold rings and 1 gold bracelet, 2 silver bracelets and about 12 silver rings, with the cladd I've found added to these I paid for my machine this year alone! hope this helped
