Seven silvers this weekend, May 11 & 12, 2013

Yesterday (Saturday) I tried several new sites but most of them didn't pan out. Towards the end of the day I decided to head back to V Nickel Park. I didn't find any V Nickels there this time, but I did get an Indian Head and a Barber Dime.

Today I drove in the opposite direction to a small town (Pop. 250) that I had never been to before that has an old grade school. The school grounds are quite large and contain an old ball field. I have a feeling that I will be making some return trips to this site as I found SIX silvers there today and 11 wheat cents. There is still a lot of area that I haven't touched.

Here are my finds for the weekend:

That's a real nice weekend Tony. I'd be headed back to that school for sure. Likely the very next day! Congrats!

Congratulations Tony on another excellent assortment of coinage! I hope that elementary school is virgin ground and gives up lots of keepers for you. HH, Dave.

How many hours a weekend do you spend out? :thinkingabout:

Let's see, I think I hunted for about 6 hours on Saturday and about 4 hours on Sunday.

Tony, yet another great weekend you had. Fantastic assortment of coins. A town with a population of 250.....is it even on a map:huh:thinkingabout: Hope that site still produces for you.

HI Tony congratulations on a nice hunt did you make a video?

Yes, I just need to edit the footage and put the video together. It will probably be on YouTube in a day or two.

Welcome to the forum, by the way! |:cheering:

Very nice finds Tony! Any spot you find 6 silvers on your first hunt deserves another visit for sure!

Probably virgin ground. Not many people drive to a 250 population town to hunt. Their loss. lol

The smallest town in CT is around 700. I don't know where I'd go to find a place that small... lol
They must have had money though, and holes in their pockets |:cheering:
