I returned to my picnic grove honey hole on Friday for a three hour hunt and was not disappointed again. I decided to hunt an area that is filled with trash. I usually swing the coil over this area on the way back to the car. On Thursday after a short search in the woods I slowly searched over this area on my way to the car and picked-up 3 shallow wheats. So I decided to put the X-8 coil on and work the area as slow as I could and it was a great idea. The first pass produce a nice coin spill an 1890 Indian, 1899 V Nickel and a 1916 heart stoping Merc. The video shows me cleaning it to reveal the mint mark, no D. I also found another V 1890, a 1912 Barber dime, 10 wheats and a first for me an 1881 Canadian Cent. On my last pass was when digging all those pultabs paid off. I had a 12-26 jumping up to 12-32 on the Etrac at 2 Inches. I could not believe what was in the hole, it was a large Mens 10K class ring from a high school in my area, class of 1976. It has initials on it and I am going to attempt to find the owner. One thing I thought was cool is it had yarn wrapped around it to make it fit a girls small finger. I also found $1.78 in clad and twice as much trash as I normally find in the same size area. I will be back on Monday to work the trash again.
