Stopping By Woods On A Sunny Afternoon

Whose woods these are I think I know.
I’m part owner though my taxes are low;
I saw my first wolf which gave me some fear
Thankfully between us was a wide river flow.

No ox stuff was found, nothing related to steer
Horse buckles were plenty, both far and quite near
Although thoroughbreds never make a good steak
I’d try them if I had guzzled enough beer.

Digging twelve harness parts made my back ache
A bottle and buttons were part of the take.
I found a turn of the century trash heap
A horse bite already fried, I don't advise bake.

The copper was not lovely, stark, and deep,
With New Years last night I didn’t get much sleep,
I have 364 to go for this year’s copper keep,
I have 364 to go for this year’s copper keep.

Drew, a very nice adaptation of the classic :perfect10:

Looks like you found everything but the actual horse ! Very cool.

lol at Lodges comment.yeah where's the horse? very cool hunt.is that a silver chain inside the bit? any designs on the rosettes?

I agree Gaspipe!
Jeff and Dave, the thought of finding the horse crossed my mind
There is only a small border line on the rosettes Dave.
Dan told me what the hame was so I went back for the other half yesterday.
The wolf was probably a coyote but it was rather large... and coyote didn't fit into the poem
The dandy was 20 yrds from the dump site and more in line with all the other finds from this area.

A poem about the stuff below 'im!

I learned something new...I always thought they just put moonshine on their salad back in the day. Who knew?
