Toasted LC

Got out for a bit yesterday and hit a summer cottage that had given me some wheaties and Mercs in the past. I hadn;t done the front yard and thought it might spit out a Merc or two. Didn;t find any more Mercs but did find a key and a toasted LC...Matrons head but no date visible at all...ground really corroded this oen and there is no chance of getting date off of it.

they usually get that way from fertilizers like a farm field or from being in a low laying area with poor drainage , still fun to dig up those large coppers . congrats IH

Hey, a copper is a copper. At least you can tell what kind of Large cent it is lol Some of ours are just slugs. Bet that was a suprise??
