verdigris cleaning on 2 coppers

2 of my coppers were pretty rough from the pocket spill i dug satrday.I soaked em in hot water for 1/2 hour and tried a toothpick but it wouldn't pop the crust so,i stuck the loop in my eye socket and tediously for an hour picked very carefully.I used a old park find I think it's a old walnut or nut pick.it's very dull on the pointed end and really worked well.my fingers are cramped but i am pretty pleased with the way the braided hair came out.the older matron head is stained propably from the chemical reaction from the coins being stuck together.i may work on that one a bit more later.
