First off it was a rare thing today. Neither one of my boys had a baseball game :dontknow:  lol So after doing a couple of long over due chores and a tuneup on the lawn mower I was off  I decided to go to a old park that is partially wooded. In the woods I found a few 60's pennies. But no dimes or quarters of course  lol Even a 59 memorial >:# So I started to hunt under some of the big old shade trees. Finally after about 2 hours I got my first old coin. A 1947d Wheatie. |) lol About a hour later I hit a area that was just loaded with 1 and 2 inch deep memorials! :hairpulling: Coppers and zincer mixed together! :hairpulling: I mean it was 2 or 3 hits on every swing! :shocked04: I dug quite few of the copper signals . But then I got a nice deep penny/dime 9-41,12-42,10-40 signal that showed it was much deeper than The Field of Pennies lol. And at around the 6 inch mark I seen the edge of silver! :happydance01: I thought i was a foreign silver coin at first  until I seen the &quot:daydream:NE DIME on the back. :shocked04:stretcher: Thats when I realized I had just found my 2nd Seated dime of 2012! :peace: <: happydance02 It's a well worn 1876 Philly!

I haven't made a post in quite a while mainly due to not having time to get out and hunt as much as in the past. But I have made it out a few times here and there. A few weeks ago I went to the park here in town and found a wheat and the first piece of silver ever from that park! :hairpulling: lol It turned out to be this Sterling silver ring!

Hopefully things will slow down a bit for a while here soon. And hopefully we get some much needed rain >:\ And then maybe I'll get a chance to get out and try and catch up with everyone and their big silver counts. :envious: lol

Thanks for lookin' !

Very nice Digger. :congrats: I would love to find a seated dime :smitten:. We could use some of the wet stuff here in central Mo as well. It makes for some hard digging. >:#

It definitely would have caught me by surprise too.
Glad you stuck with it... she's a beauty. :smitten:

Hopefully you've found a couple more 'baseball free days' since this hunt to search for more keepers.

It's been too long since hunting with you and Ted. crying01 Once the heat breaks, we need to set another one up. :peace:

Congrats on these keepers.
