Well there are rumors going around the Internet about a new detector from whites coming out soon. This speculation appears to be based on a category heading on the Whites forum. It is titled...

It's a simple question. I first thought it might be a reference to the original Vision model, but if that was the case why wouldn't they just post that answer? This thread is for posting talk concerning this rumor. Inquiring minds want to know! Does it have a USB port! Does it have a new frequency? Will the new detector cost even more than the V3i? Can existing V3i's be updated to this new machine for another $125? Let the speculation begin... rofl

I believe this new detector is going to be a slimmed down version of the V3i and it will sell for less. This will be a nice addition to the family. I just got word from a source that it has no advanced menu system and is trying to be more user friendly. Cool!

I've always maintained that the Vision could use an interface (USB, wireless, etc.). If any new version is so equipped, I'd surely update.

However I'll wait a while for the new 11D2 coil issues to be resolved. lol

Let's hope that the auto track in this thing works better than with the V3i. The most disturbing thing left out of the V3i though was the USB port. If the VX3 is also without that feature, then I hope for the new buyers that it has some great core programs built in. The lack of file sharing via electronic transfer has got to be the biggest negative in the V3i, so maybe they'll get it right this time with the X and have it added. martin
