Grabbed a fresh 9 volt battery today and stuck it in my pocket, ready for when the other one died. Just like last time, there was some change in the same pocket. 8/

Once again, the coins made a perfect connection with the contact points and the battery heated up real quick to a very uncomfortable temperature. :stretcher:

When I finally realized what had happened, I looked around for someone politely saying... Here's your sign. lol

Yep that can happen with AA batteries if you get soaking wet with them in your pocket.

Here's a solution .A pill bottle with cotton in it is also a good way to protect dirt caked coins from getting scratched until you can properly attend them .

I knew a guy once that was out squirrel hunting and had the same thing happen with the addition of a few .22 shells that he'd put in his pocket. oke: He said said when he realized what was going on he was almost afraid to put his hand in his pocket to get it all out. :stretcher: All he could think of was the shells going off. :shocked04: :stretcher:
