One more hunt, one more silver

Jason in Enid

The weather today was incredibly nice. Clear skies and the temp was in the high 50's. So I went back to the baseball field I found my last silver (Merc) at. Got about 2 hours of hunting in, and the 1960 Rosy was found close to the end. The junk finds are interesting in that they are sounding really good, but all of them are pinpoining way off center, and are deep. 2 pieces were 10 inches deep and almost on edge. Maybe I can get out again tomorrow.

Anyway, here is the dime.

Glad you made it out. You have to take advantage of the good weather while it lasts. Just one of the perks of global warming lol thumbsup01

LOL, yeah, I thought about global warming a couple days ago when battling a structure fire in 17 degrees with winds at 20 to 30. And I'll try to remember global warming when I'm freezing my butt off next week too.

Nice find Jason glad you got out. thumbsup01 It's 5 below here right now and that's not including the wind. Brrrrrrrrrrrrrr!!

Nice rosie Jason... I'm amazed that you east coast people are actually getting out and not only that but finding silver! I'm way south of you and it's too cold for me :)

The weather can turn nasty at any moment at this time of year, so it's nice to be able to take advantage of the warmer days we do get. Nice Rosie too. I hope you are able to get out again. :)

thats a handsome rosie Jason especially this time of the year . thats proof that you have a serious problem with detecting

like the rest of us lol lol

you adapt Angie , when i lived out in Phoenix our winters were between 30 and 50 degrees and i thought that was to cold to go out sometimes but now living here for almost 20 years . those temps would be a very welcomed heat wave here in Connecticut , you just get use to it .

Hey Angie, last I looked, Oklahoma was still in the midwest. lol Sometimes I wished I lived on the east coast so that I could get some older coins.

Yeah I've learned that hot and cold are very relative terms. Last year I lived in 140 degree heat during the days. When I left to come home for Christmas it was 55 degrees at night and I thought I was going to freeze to death. Litterally! I saw these guys just coming into country sleeping out on the open ground and I thought they must be insane. It's all relative to what you're used to.

Congrats on the silver. Take advantage of the weather when you can. Looks like we're getting dumped on tomorrow here in PA.
