got out with Gary to a couple cellar holes.along the way we stopped at a yard sale and talked to the home owner about maybe detecting his yard on the way back.house was built in 1895.he said sure stop on the way back!at the cellar holes I managed a few buttons, a ornate brass ring and a iron frizzen from a flintlock musket , which is the piece of steel the flint strikes.so,after we were done at the foundations we stopped at house.spent about 2 hours there.nothing but clad.not even a stinkin wheatie figured the yard had been filled in Gary was sittin in car waiting and i was working alongside the driveway basically walking towards the car and BAM! nice 90's VDI at 2 inches.expecting junk as there was alot in the yard,i dig down and see a big silver rim thinkin barber or walker at most....Then I see her sitting in all her glory a 1st for me and been on my wish list for 25 plus years.i've dug seated dimes & quarters but never a half until now.what a great ending to the day.yeah i think i dinged it across the date little
