Sunday Cellar Holes

Hiked our butts off to detect a couple cellar holes today. Targets were very hard to come by as it seems these sites were already pounded extremely hard. Managed to squeak out a few keepers including a toasty Connecticut Copper. Finding a complete colonial keg spigot made me smile and helped to save the day.
It's only my second one dug and the first one was only a partial piece.

Todd you often don't see them spigot tapered ends that long , they usually break off at some point from years of being pounded into barrels. its definitely a nice addition to a display case.

Nice job Todd. Agree that the spigot is definitely one of your better finds this year. Great cleaning job too.

The copper, buttons, and the spigot make for a great day digging... way to go! :thumbsup02:

Is that a flattened spoon near the uncleaned spigot? Now that you got the tap, start pouring us some beers! :beerbuddy: Nice finds.
