Sunday Cellar Holes

Hiked our butts off to detect a couple cellar holes today. Targets were very hard to come by as it seems these sites were already pounded extremely hard. Managed to squeak out a few keepers including a toasty Connecticut Copper. Finding a complete colonial keg spigot made me smile and helped to save the day.
It's only my second one dug and the first one was only a partial piece.

Nice tap and that is a big Crotal bell. And coppers are always great! Nice cleanup on the tap.

Todd you often don't see them spigot tapered ends that long , they usually break off at some point from years of being pounded into barrels. its definitely a nice addition to a display case.

Yup, pewter spoon bowl, it's an oldie.

I agree Dan, I have dug a few partial spigots but this is my first complete one.
