Hello calabash digger. My name is Kevin. I used to be on this site many years ago, but life kind of got in the way for a while. I am a transplant from CT & MA and now live in Little River, SC. I made a post on the hunting buddies thread. I’m really interested in getting back into Relic hunting. I do some beach hunting of course too, just because of the easy access in the area, but my heart lies with dirt digging more than sand. I’m sure you probably have people you detect with, but if you ever would welcome a new partner to hunt with, please let me know. I have much to learn about the areas history and I have work to do to learn my “newer” machine - Equinox 800. I believe you may have the same machine? Anyways, thanks for reading my message and happy hunting.
Hello from South La, I wanted to thankyou for all your great videos on the minelab 800.
I was having a bit of trouble getting started after 15 yrs with a whites dfx machine. Your tips were invaluable. I got it hunting like I wanted and went out on a confederate site I've been hunting for 4 yrs, after about an HR of digging a few bullets, I dug a Nashville Military college Cadet button! My rarest button to date, Thanks again,
Great bottle btw I'd still be holding it!

sorry I didn't see your message till now, hunting in Colorado has been getting harder and harder to find things, people havent been loosing much any more lol, the only place that I can think of that might be a problem is Wheatridge they require you to apply for a permit, then when you get the permit you have about 2 pages of rules to abide by, not worth the hassle so I stay away myself. the only other thing is all the other hunters out there lol there seems to be more and more every year lol, quite a few that don't know the proper way to dig and leave holes I find quite a few that need to be cleaned up. good luck hunting and be safe

Good morning,

Hope you are doing well.

I recently found an object that is very similar to the item in the top left corner of your photo from the post: 13th Hunt for 2010... Buckle, Silver, Indian, Relics...

It's the item that looks like a gear. I have been able to locate no other photos of a similar item. Do you know what it is?

Thank you in advance for any help.

Cheers,
Yurtle
Hey Cody. I'm a little further east. I'm in Western Mass. Are you in Oklahoma?
